When people learn what Communiteer is, it's often met with same reaction, "How has this not existed until now?"
Founded in 2016, their mission is to connect non-profit organisations with skilled volunteers, empowering and accelerate what we can get done as a society.
Communiteer's real value extends beyond connection, it's real solution is providing a place for action. The core objective was the ability to contribute to causes and charities in a tangible way.

To avoid the all too common feature creeping, I really took advantage of communicating and creating directly with the founder.
Prioritising user action is a common goal for any website, but in Communiteer's case I drew from Amazon's 3 click purchase method to really hone in on its departure from existing volunteering options.

As Communiteer is meant to be the future hub for charities, NGO's and UN's Sustainable Development Goals, one thing we had to accept that the visual styles weren't always going to work in harmony. Unable even add rounded edges proved to be really challenging in terms of consistent styling and so rather than being caught up in how pretty it was, we shifted our focus on speed of delivery and functionality.

Having left Geronimo, the build and design seems to be still rolling out on to the live website. I assume this design is bound to change.
This was a platform enjoyed working on and was invested in the mission, and I will be soon working on a redesigned interface as I've learned a lot since this project!
